Shout Out

Last night me and some of the 444 members put up some lights outside. Big thanks to my Aunt Kim who gave me the ladder decoration, it is the biggest attraction on the street of mifflin. Its so big, we got a shout out on the school newspaper...

"SO to the guys who live in 444 Mifflin who decorated their house so festively with not only just plain lights, but a light up ladder that has Santa, Rudolph, an elf, and a snowman. Perfect background for a classic UW-Madison Christmas card. Everyone else living on Mifflin should be ashamed."

Big thanks to Caroline for the Shout Out!!

Reality

I apoligize for the time off between posts. I have gotten many requests to post everyday, so I will try and meet those requests. Anyways, I arrived back to the chilly 444 today and had a great Thanksgiving break in Minonk. I just ate a lot, watched football and put up Christmas lights. The house looks great with lights and it may be the best decorated in the whole city. Now I am back to reality but glad to be back in Madison. I cooked Mom's enchlada caserole for dinner and shared it with the whole house. I am pretty sure the heat doesn't work on our flat, so I have to start remembering to turn on my heating blanket a half hour before bed so its warm when I enter it.

Turkey Trot

I could barely sleep last night, maybe it was because my mind was already running the turkey trot. Today was the day, Harry and me had talked enough running strategy and were ready to run. Waking up to snow was awesome, but I knew it didn't make for perfect running conditions. We drove about 20 minutes north to a town called Olgesby. Who would of thought a town so small could could host a race for 300 people. Harry and I warmed up with a 100 meter jog and stretched. I should of stretched a little more because my calf's are feeling it right now. I thought I could stay with Harry's pace but he passed me before the first mile. Although I felt terrible during and after the race, I am glad we ran it. I think we are going to make it a tradition on thanksgiving morning. I will devote all my training to the turkey trot and train harder than ever so I am ready for next year. Hopefully the whole family will run next year. Happy Thanksgiving!

Cameron

Cam Wiegert, his room is next to mine. Just about every morning I am woke up by the sound of his alarm clock. He spends most of his life admiring reddit, loves playing as the charcter Ness in Super Smash Brothers 64 and eating rice for almost every meal. For halloween he was a ketchup bottle. He is really good at making graphics and making videos. Although he is a cool guy, he could really learn how to load the dishwassher properly.

The 444

The weekend has come and gone. Midterms are over and I am feeling relieved to be done. I am looking forward to a short week and heading home on Tuesday.

The xbox saw alot of use this past week. OngishBwudd, the gamertag I play under, got up to level 56 in Call of Duty, constantly unlocking perks and guns. My weapon of choice is the ACR.

I am also eager to put up the Christmas lights on Tuesday night when I arrive in Minonk. But at the same time, not looking forward to spending endless hours untangling, putting lights on every tree, and object my grandpa has in his yard.

I have decided for the upcoming week that I am going to blog about every person in my house. Each day for the next 7 days I am going to dedicate my blog posts to describing, and analyzing each member of 444 W Mifflin.

2000 Miles

I was in the library today, just like everyday and I decided to listen to Coldplay. I know its not even Thanksgiving yet but one of my favorite Christmas songs came on by them and it made me really get in the spirit. The song is called 2000 Miles. Everything about the song is good and being that its about Christmas is another plus. I have to give credit to my sister Myndi for introducing this one to me. PLaying christmas songs before December brings back memories form freshman year when I was going to UW Stout. Me and my roommate Phil really got in the Holiday spirit. We watched every possible christmas movie, Elf is my fav, along with cutting down our own tree and decorating our dorm room with lights. I encourage everyone to really get into the Christmas spirit this year, it makes the holiday so much more enjoyable.

November Red

So I am entering week number 3 of no shave November and the beard is looking fine. I have never gone more than 4 days without shaving, so all of this is a new experience for me. If I had a camera I would have taken a picture in front of the bathroom mirror, with my shirt off, so everyone who reads my blog could see just how the whole beard thing is looking. But in the meantime I just found a pic from google images that represents the look of my beard well. This weekend was a success. Harry(my brother) and my cousin nick experienced their first badger game. The chili that dad made is probably one of his finest batches. And for the casserole mom made...WOW, get me the recipe. This week is a going to be a week of hell. Although I finished the paper that was due today and also had a quiz today, I still have 2 tough exams on Thursday. So if anyone needs to reach me I will be in the Library.

Bin

As I sit here next to the heat of the gas fireplace at my cabin, I am warmer than I have been all fall. The flat as yet to turn the heat on at the 444. Nothing to watch on the 5 channels that come in on tv and I have watched all the VHS tapes at least 3 times here. Probably going to wake up early and cast a tiger color rapala off the dock. Heard some fish jump while sitting in the screened in porch. I love fishing. Dad made another crock pot full of chili. I can't wait to heat up a bowl of chili for all my meals this week for lunch and dinner. Last home badger game tomorrow against Michigan! GO BADGERS!

Dinner

Over the past couple of months while I have lived in Madison, I have really gained alot of cooking skills and learned some great recipes. The recipe that I am about to share is one of my finest. I usually make it at least once a week.

What You Need:

1 Box of Penne Pasta
1 Jar of PREGO spaghetti sauce(mushroom flavor)
2 Tablespoons of ranch
1 Pinch crushed red pepper

Just boil the pasta in a pot of water on High heat. Once pasta is tender, take off heat and drain. Add PREGO sauce, stir, then add in ranch and pepper. The ranch provides the extra kick to provide an unbelievable meal in 15 minutes. ENJOY!

Hint: I usually make more than I need so I have leftovers for the next day.

Gameday

Woke up to the sun shinning. 67 degrees today. First time in a month I sat on the stoop with a cup of coffee. Got another 'W' today with another Badger win, now 7-2 on the season. Can't wait for the last home game of the season vs Michigan next week. And to top things off, all my stout bros came to Madison. Another successful weekend in Madtown.

Friday Fun

Friday: 5:30 pm. What great weather in Madison today! I didn't even need a jacket while walking to my classes. Its going to be nice all weekend. Probably the last best weather we will have until spring. Spent most of the day beating my roommate in NFL Blitz for nintendo 64. It is going to be a good weekend because friends from Stout are coming. Can't wait.

Bemo's Breakfast

I feel that is is necessary to share with all my friends what I have been recently eating for breakfast and how I start my day with tons of energy. I have always been a big fan of cereal. If I had to, I would eat it all day. This past week I have been starting every morning with a bowl of Apple Jacks and a Bagel, then I am on my way to German class. Nothing gets me more prepared to speak a foreign language.

Finally in the Blogging World

Finally I made it, a real blogger. So cool. I don't really know what to say. Below is one of my finest mixes.
