The Violet Hour

I could get 6 round trip tickets to Chicago for the price of one drink at The Violet Hour. This was a bar I went to when I took a trip to Chicago last weekend to visit my Sister and Brother-in-law. The bar was lit by candles and there is no sign outside the main entrance. I am sure the bar goes unnoticed by many.

If it weren't for the two nice travelers I met at Memorial Union, I would have paid a $40 bus ticket. This is still a great deal because I was traveling alone, but the even better deal was through Greyhound Express. They had a two week bus special for the travel in the Midwest. Each way only cost me $1.

I started out the new year with a bang by attending my roommate's sister's wedding. I did the dougie and celebrated with friends.
